About PimStash

PimStash is a suite of personal record-keeping apps behind one account — gear, bills, vehicles, receipts and a few others. Each started life as a standalone tool; putting them on one login means one password to remember and one place to look. Anyone may sign up, and every account is approved by hand, so expect a short wait before you can start.

Most of the apps here trace their history back to webbits.tfks.net — browser-based tools that keep their records on your own device instead of a server. Gear, bills, vehicles and receipts all began there, and those originals remain available and need no account, so they stay a workable option if you would rather run server-less. Each app here reads and writes the same export file as its webbit, so records can move either way.

Some articles to provide more context:

Limits

An account may hold up to 10 partitions — Closets, Ledgers, Vehicles and their equivalents in the other apps — and up to 1,000 items in each of them. These ceilings are sized for household use rather than drawn arbitrarily, and exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Abuse

PimStash operators reserve the right to deactivate, without prior notice, any account used to host or distribute illegal material, and to retain or disclose that account's contents where the law requires it. That judgement rests with the operators.

Privacy

Your data is yours: every app shows you only the rows attached to your account, and nothing is shared between accounts unless you are explicitly given access to an app. PimStash is developed & operated by a small team, and its operators may need to read customer data when troubleshooting issues or maintaining the service. Customer records are never sold or disclosed to third parties, but nothing stored here should be data you would not want an operator to see.
